Born in 2008 as LAUGFS Oil, we entered an industry long dominated by global giants, with a bold vision: to create a truly home-grown lubricant brand that could match and surpass international standards. At a time when the market was heavily reliant on multinational products, we set out to prove that Sri Lanka had the capability, expertise, and determination to engineer world-class lubricant solutions.

Tribology Park and Facility Expansion
A defining milestone in our journey is with the establishment of our Tribology Park, a fully integrated, state-of-the-art facility dedicated to blending, research & development, quality control, and storage. More than just a plant, it represents our pursuit of precision, safety, and sustainability. Designed to meet stringent international standards, the facility enables us to innovate continuously while ensuring every product delivers consistent performance and reliability.
Current Capabilities and Team Expertise
With an annual blending capacity of 15 million litres, powered by advanced batch blending systems and next-generation additive technologies, we combine scale with uncompromising quality. Behind this capability is a team of passionate experts; chemists, engineers, and formulation specialists who continuously push boundaries to create lubricants that perform under the toughest conditions.
International Expansion
Expanding beyond Sri Lanka, LAUGFS Lubricants has steadily established its presence across international markets, marking a significant step in our growth journey. Our first overseas venture into Bangladesh in 2022 laid the foundation for regional expansion, leveraging our unique position as Sri Lanka’s only lubricant manufacturer with its own blending license.
Building on this momentum, we further extended our footprint to the Maldives in 2023, reinforcing our strategic ambition to enter high-potential markets. These expansions are driven by our ability to combine advanced global technologies with deep regional expertise, enabling us to deliver high-performance lubricant solutions tailored to tropical climates and evolving industrial demands.
